SOUTH PARTNERS
During first phase of the BSU initiative, the Platform on Human Health will focus on partnerships with four groups of universities and research institutions including one in Tanzania Mainland (Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and the National Institute for Medical Research), one on Zanzibar (State University of Zanzibar and Zanzibar College of Health Sciences), and two university partnerships in Ghana (The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Ghana).
IMPLEMENTING COMMITTEES
The PHH Implementing Committees (IC) will be responsible for overseeing and supporting coordination of the agreed work programme. The different areas of the defined the work program will be organized into one to three Working Groups for each partner institution of the PHH. Each IC will be headed by a PHH project leader (appointed by the South partner) and a Danish counterpart (appointed by the Danish Steering Committee). Other members of the IC include the South leaders of the Working Groups and their Danish counterparts.
The Implementing Committee leaders have been appointed respectively by the Danish Steering Committee and the South partners. Please see the country groups for specific institutions.
