ABOUT THE PLATFORM ON HUMAN HEALTH
The Platform on Human Health is a network of universities, research institutions and other organisations involved in tertiary education and "Research for Health" in Denmark and selected partner countries. The aim of the Platform on Human Health is to strengthen capacity of partners in low-income countries in relation to health research, research-based education, and information dissemination.
The Platform on Human Health gathers Danish expertise and experience in all disciplines relevant to global health. The Platform's capacity development activities are based on the identified needs in partner institutions that match with the existing Danish expertise and experience. Special emphasis is put on prevention, control and management of major public health problems. Collaboration focuses on a limited number of long-term research programmes of a high international standard.
On 29 April 2011, the Platform on Human Health handed in the 2011-2013 proposal to Universities Denmark. The funding was approved 30 June 2011 by The Ministry of Foreign affairs of Denmark.
